Introducing a photo of the late martial arts master Tran Thuc Tien with a wood worker

Wood core is a very important training tool in the Wing Chun style.

During his years in Hanoi, Master Nguyen Te Cong also had his students practice with woodworkers.

Today, through this website, I would like to respectfully introduce the historical photo of our branch - a photo of my master (standing on the right) and his colleague standing with the wood tree at my master's house.

After Master Nguyen Te Cong went to the South (around August 1954), my master started teaching Wing Chun and also let his students practice with this wooden tree.

It was not until 1990 that I was able to build a carpenter's house.

By the way, I would also like to express an important thing in practicing woodworking that my master taught, which is: when the necessary elements are not enough, simply put, there is not much time to practice, then don't practice.

For us, woodworking is not simply a training tool but, as my master said, it also has a deep spiritual meaning.
As everyone knows, Master Nguyen Te Cong in the last months of his life (2 months before his death) allowed his students to take pictures of the Master fighting the woodmen.

By introducing the historical photo in our branch of my master with the wood man, I would also like to say a few more things related to the wood man as above.

On the occasion of Buddha's Birthday, the 2550 Buddhist calendar, I sincerely pray to the Buddhas to bless each of us with peace, happiness, peaceful society, progressive civilization, and the Wing Chun sect.

Thanks for everything.
